St. Elias is located in the heart of Anchorage Alaska, but we have welcomed patients from all over the United States. Our physicians are board certified and we have 24-hour skilled nursing care along with therapists who work as a team on an individualized care plan for each patient. We consider the hospital to be a “bridge” of care from an acute setting to rehabilitation, home or another care facility that requires less intensive medical attention. The hospital is considered a progressive step on the road to wellness for the critically ill or complex patient. A partial listing of diagnoses and conditions we treat include:

Depending on the needs of the individual, patients will receive state of the art physical, speech, occupational, respiratory, wound and psychological therapy. More than 90% of our patients feel they are better able to take care of themselves upon discharge.
Some of the exceptional features that enhance our delivery of patient care include:
- A six-bed high observation / critical care unit.
- State-of-the-art equipment including specialty beds in all patient rooms, cardiac monitoring equipment and mechanical ventilators for those patients requiring respiratory support.
- Adjunct therapy resources including a patient therapy gym and family day rooms.
- Fully monitored rooms with equipment alarms to the central nursing station.
- Large, private, beautiful rooms in a brand new facility that is exceptionally appealing and comfortable.
- A clinical team of highly trained medical professionals representing a variety of specialty services who work together on an individualized plan of care for each patient.
