St. Elias is located in the heart of Anchorage Alaska, but we have welcomed patients from all over the United States.  Our physicians are board certified and we have 24-hour skilled nursing care along with therapists who work as a team on an individualized care plan for each patient.  We consider the hospital to be a “bridge” of care from an acute setting to rehabilitation, home or another care facility that requires less intensive medical attention.  The hospital is considered a progressive step on the road to wellness for the critically ill or complex patient.  A partial listing of diagnoses and conditions we treat include:

  • Stroke
  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Malnutrition
  • Trauma

  • Dysphagia Management

Our physicians are committed to the successful recovery of our patients. We have numerous specialists who are board-certified in their respective areas of practice. The entire team is focused on each patient's unique and complex needs.  The team includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and therapists, among others.
