Medically complex patients often have multi-system failure. These patients require constant nursing supervision and daily physician visits. Many of these patients have one or more of the following: pulmonary disease, cardiac disease, pressure wounds, gastrointestinal diseases (difficulty eating/swallowing), post-op complications (infection, stroke, bleeding) and renal disease.
